Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

"Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland" is an imaginary fairytale, and there are a lot of interesting dialogues in the story that can provide food for thought. The following is one of my favorites. It is between Alice and Cheshire Cat.

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”

“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.

“I don’t much care where……” said Alice.

"Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.

"......so long as I get somewhere," Alice added as an explanation.

"Oh, you’re sure to do that," said the Cat, "if only you walk long enough."

Whenever I lose my way, this dialogue always appears in my mind. It is not just a dialogue. To me, it is an instruction of life.

“EXIT” is the latest single from "Porno Graffitti", a Japanese rock-and-roll band. This song is also the theme song of a Japanese drama, "You Taught Me All the Precious Things". I love this song pretty much, and I especially like listening to it when I am in low spirits. Actually, whenever I listen to this song, I always feel that I am reborn. This may sound a little bit ridiculous, but it is exactly how I feel. When I listen to the beginning of the song, I feel I am surrounded by endless darkness. I cannot see anything, even myself. As the music progresses, I start to recall my memories, little by little. Then, it moves to the chorus part. It seems that all of my emotions explode in this moment. Everything, including me myself, explodes. After the explosion, I eventually understand what I want and who I am. Therefore, step by step, I try to rebuild my own life, and in the end of the music, there is a brand-new person who is ready to confront all of the forthcoming challenges.
